Would you like to become more active in the suicide prevention movement? Want to know more about the suicide prevention topic? Want to know more about Fresno SOSL and how you can help?

Kelly Orender of Fresno SOSL  is teaching Q.P.R. (Question, Persuade and Refer) seminars about suicide awareness and prevention which includes: recognizing warning signs/risk factors, common misconceptions/myths, how to address your concerns and ask the suicide question, how to persuade someone to get help, and who/how to refer to help.

Just as so many of us are familiar with C.P.R. and the valuable steps that can save a life, Q.P.R. offers the same simple steps that you can implement to save a life from suicide. Q.P.R. is not a form of counseling or therapy. It is designed for any of us to be more vigilant to those around us.

Additionally, as survivors, we know little about why our loved one died by suicide. The fear of understanding suicide makes the grief process very difficult. With some education, survivors can better understand why their loved one died.

For medical/mental health professionals, C.E.U.’s are available, please contact Kelly at the below email.
